Something’s got to give

Stating the obvious, kids need parents.  They need parents to help them develop the social, emotional and intellectual skills for adulthood – for work and citizenship, for community.  We all need kids to grow up with this triple-health bill.  Whether we’re their friends, neighbours, employers or colleagues. But, as the recent Australian Institue of Family Studies report, Families make all the difference – Helping kids to grow and learn, shows, longer working hours, and commutes, mean parents spend less time with their kids.

Is this another sign of the Caring-less society being driven by the Care-more economy?
